More than once I tried making a webcomic and jumping into artistic internet fame, one of those was SCIFN. A story about a world were:
- Humans used to have powers, but they made use of a magical particle in the air
- Overuse of this particle had been affecting nature
- A type of monsters that fed on this magical humans arised, killing most of them. The remaining ones were banished to the moon, with limitations on their powers.
The webcomic story had two characters that were of this kind of humans with powers who escaped their moon and came to cause trouble to the main planet. But I didn't like it, they fell too much on the "goofy character with serious sidekick" trope. I did like, however, the antagonist, Isabelle.
Isabelle was the last remaining of the magic-people-eater monsters, since there were no more magical people left to eat, her breed just died out.
She was left on a pirate ship by her parents when she was a baby, shortly before they died. She grew up with them and developed a love for jewelry and treasures, using her monster power to help them. She's a girly girl, but can transform her whole body into a monster, or just parts if she needs it.
In my dream future, I make a game that's a mix between Banjo Kazooie and Windwaker, where you control Isabelle, and can transform her into a monster and collect treasures.
Más de una vez intenté hacer un webcomic y dar el salto hacia la fama de internet, uno de esos intentos fue SCIFN. Una historia sobre un mundo donde:
- Los humanos antes tenían poderes, pero hacían uso de una partícula mágica en el aire.
- El sobreuso de esta partícula estaba afectando a la naturaleza.
- Un tipo de monstruos que se alimentaban de estos humanos mágicos surgió, matando a la mayoría de ellos. Los restantes fueron exiliados a la luna, con limitantes en sus poderes.
El webcomic original la neta no me gustó y no le tenía amor, pero de ahí salió un personaje que sí me gustó, la antagonista Isabelle.
Isabelle era la última de los monstruos comedores de gente mágica. Fue dejada por sus padres en un barco pirata justo antes de que estos murieran. Creció con los
piratas y desarrolló un gusto por la joyería y los tesoros, usando sus poderes de monstruo para ayudarlos. Es una chica girly pero puede transformar todo su cuerpo en un mosntruo, o nomás partes si así se requiere.
En mi mundo mágico donde puedo hacer lo que quiera, haría un juego tipo los de 64 donde juntas cosas, en el que navegas por el mar, llegas a islas, juntas tesoros, y el personaje
principal es Isabelle y sus poderes involucran transformarse en monstruo.
